Volunteer with Huron Hospice

Hospice is a concept of care with a focus on caring, not curing, living not dying. We help to support quality of life until the end. Hospice is all about HOPE. Our volunteers are people who display sensitivity, good communication skills, and willingness to help. They respect the privacy, dignity, and self-determination of each person. They are carefully screened and have completed an approved Volunteer Training Program. They receive ongoing education, supervision and group support. Our volunteers are the cornerstone of our organization.

As a volunteer, Lucy gives her time and says she receives so much more. Lucy wanted a volunteer position as unique as she is, so she checked out Huron Hospice. Now she experiences a deep satisfaction that comes from helping others when they need it most.

There are many ways to volunteer with our organization. Give us a call to see what the right fit is for you! Whether it be as a Volunteer Visitor, a Board or Committee Member, or to help out with events as a Community Volunteer, we are always open to inquires.  Give us a call, send an email or drop by the office for more information.
