Huron Hospice Volunteer Service

Huron Hospice Services oversees a dedicated team of trained Volunteers providing companionship, listening and emotional support to residents of our community who are facing a life threatening illness. This care can be provided in a home, a hospital, or a long-term care setting. Support is also provided to caregivers and families who are grieving the loss of their loved one.

Services and programs to residents of Huron County are provided at NO COST to the participants. We are a charitable, non-profit organization and grateful for the generosity of the members of our community and our partners who make this possible. Your generosity enables us to offer ongoing training, enhanced programs, and increased services to ensure that the need in our communities continues to be met. Please consider making a donation to support our work.

There is no cost for Huron Hospice. The stay and the care provided is free to all our patients. Our funding come from the government (Ministry of Health covers 60% of nursing costs), and donations from our compassionate community.
